XP Day Lightning Talks
- organiser: BernardVanderBeken
- session duration: 60 min
- session type: meta-session consisting of multiple lightning talks.
- intended audience: all attendees, depending on talks.
- presentation language: English
Session description:
Contents:
- Will be determined by selecting talks.
Process:
- This session consists of multiple 'lightning talks'.
- The lightning talks are mini-sessions given by different speakers.
- These speakers could sign up until the XP Day itself.
- Other conferences have done this before:
Audience involvement:
- There can be a considerable overlap between audience and presenters.
- It is up to each session presenter to (dis)allow Q&A time, which needs to be allocated within the provided time. Further discussion can happen during breaks.
Objectives:
- Allow a considerable number of speakers to speak concisely about a topic of their choice in a brief period of time.
Timetable:
- 10 lightning talks can be allowed of 5 minutes each.
Why should you attend?
- Can Lightning Talks really work?
- Learn about topics that will not get any attention otherwise, either because speakers do not dare to do a full session or because the topic is too small.
- Get to know more people.
