Presented by Remi-Armand Collaris and Dick van der Sar
Abstract:
In this session we investigate how we can improve the performance of Agile teams looking at the organization around them and the contracts for the projects they work on. For this we will compare making up rules of play for a game with preparing a project where the contract is part of the rules. We will use game play to investigate what works and what doesn’t. Experiencing something has a much higher chance of changing behavior than reading about it or being told about it. So take the game to your team/managers/organization to let them experience what you already feel to be true. Agile works!
Furthermore we offer a platform to discuss how contracts can stimulate an Agile way of working. For this we will propose a set of evaluation criteria for Agile contracts and cooperate with participants in creating a mind-map, intended as a tool to improve Agile contracts.
Format and length:
90 mins interactive workshop
Intended audience and prerequisites:
Agile ambassadors that are looking for tools and inspiration. Some experience in Agile contracting is welcomed.
Objective(s) of the session:
At the end of this session the participants have experienced some bad and good practices and take home a game to help them share these experiences with colleagues.
Benefits for participants and presenter(s):
Participants can take home some experiences and a game that can help them share these experiences with others. Furthermore they get a chance to build on a tool to improve Agile contracts. The presenters hope to get suggestions on how to improve the game and feedback on how contracts can better support an Agile way of working.
