By day, Laurens works as an Agile coach and trainer with Xebia to help organizations transform to Agile. By night, he is Treasurer of Agile Holland, member of the Agile Consortium’s Agile Certification workgroup, and Chairman of the Agile Project Leadership Network Netherlands Chapter. 
Laurens strives to merge classic and Agile management in the conviction that it is the future of professional management. He is an experienced, and sometimes even celebrated, public speaker. Last year’s XP Days presentation on the Political Economy of Agile Projects even started with applause! 
Laurens lives in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, with his wife Nienke Blauw and son Mark.
