Vera is a consultant with her company Tryx. She has 15 years of experience in developing software systems, especially object-oriented development in different high-technological environments. She has been pracicing agile techniques for several years now. She coaches companies that want to improve the way they develop software. Vera focuses on process changes (towards agility), on the change from structural to OO development, and on OO design.

She has presented workshops at several conferences (XP200X, XPUniverse, OT200X, several European XPDays). She is a co-organizer of the XP Day Benelux. She has been in the program comittees of the Javapolis conferences and of the XP200X conferences. In 2001, she founded the Belgian XP User Group together with Pascal Van Cauwenberghe.
