Objectives

To introduce XP and to explain that XP is not standing still but is evolving.

Abstract

Last year Kent Beck published a second edition to the book that launched Extreme Programming "XP Explained" which encouraged development teams to 'embrace change' and stop making software quality a variable. The new edition is almost a complete rewrite with a new set of guiding principles and changes to the core XP practices. This talk introduces XP version 2 with insights on the way XP has evolved and how these practices are implemented in XP teams.
