At the moment I'm working almost one year for Topic Automatisering B.V. in the Netherlands, which is a contractor (hire agency) specialized in embedded software development and configuration management. The present project I'm working on is within Philips Research. The standard way of working in the software department is based on XP and SCRUM. Although I only have 1 year of experience with this way of working I feel it very naturally to me. The XP/SCRUM methodologies are doing a great job in the area were researcher's need a lot of software power to support their "always changing" ideas.

In my previous assignment I worked 5 years for Philips Medical Systems were I developed realtime software for cardiovascular xray systems. The way of working is in big contrast compared to the previous paragraph, mostly you follow a classic waterfall approach were you first have requirements, design and finally implementation which is covered by module/unit tests.

Skills: Most of the software development which I have done in the past 6 years is in C, C++ on Linux/Windows/VxWorks platforms.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Science and Computer Science

Hobbies: Fitness, motor riding, participating in the Dutch Extreme Programming users group XP-NL.
