What are LightningTalks?

Lightning talk requirements

  • Lightning talk speakers must be registered XP Day participants.
  • The talk is in English.
  • The talk must not exceed 5 minutes. Since this will be timed rigorously, we highly recommend you to rehearse your talk.
  • To speed up speaker switching, speakers cannot use their own laptop. Instead, speakers must send a presentation in PDF or PowerPoint format after being notified of acceptance. A single PC will be provided for all these presentations.
  • Due to time and setup constraints, no actual demos can be given. If needed, you may consider using screenshots instead.

Important dates

Lightning talk submissions: 12 November 2004
Notification of acceptance: on or before 15 November 2004
Submit presentation material after acceptance: on or before 17 November
XP Day Benelux Conference: 19 November 2004
