| Henk Harmsen Ph.D., is the head of the Innovative Technology-Applied (IT-A) section of the Operational Management department within NIWI (an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Science). IT-A is concerned with innovative and service-based ICT-related tasks for both internal and external clients.
As a trained computer scientist, Harmsen plays an important mediating role between KNAW and external researchers (users) and the ICT experts at IT-A. He also initiates large-scale IT projects.
